COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police have still not released the name of a woman struck while trying to cross an East Side street Thursday.
Accident investigators say the woman tried to cross E. Broad Street at the intersection with Hampton Road just before 6:50 p.m. and was struck by a Mazda 929 driven by Vincent McClendon, 52, in the westbound lane.
The woman was taken to Grant Medical Center where she later died, police said.
The woman’s name was being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
