Caroline Worley

Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment, would you capture it or just let it slip?” Those are the opening lyrics of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” and the song and lyrics that inspire Caroline Worley to attempt great things. “After I listen to this song, I feel as if I can do anything to which I set my mind.”

Caroline is a Business Attorney and Owner of Worley Law, LLC. Worley Law represents owners and entrepreneurs in business, real estate, and employment law. “We help our clients navigate the complex legal landscape of owning a business. We are a trusted partner, whether it’s business insight, referrals to service providers, or educational opportunities. By providing education, we impact businesses and help them grow. We listen to the needs of owners and help guard their business interests and personal assets.” Before starting Worley Law, Caroline worked with other law firms and as an Assistant County Prosecutor in Franklin County.

In addition to her own business, Caroline is a co-founder of the Women’s Small Business Accelerator, a non-profit that provides co-working space, mentoring, and education to woman-owned businesses. Caroline serves on the Columbus Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Council, as a Trustee on the Westerville Chamber Board, and as Past President for the Columbus Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Even though Caroline is very busy in her professional career, she still finds time to spend with family and stays active. She is most proud of completing the Ironman Triathlon in Louisville, Kentucky in 98 degree weather. “It took me 13 hours and 55 minutes. It was probably the hardest thing I have ever done both physically and mentally, but I loved every minute of it. I had a mantra for the day: ‘Smile, have fun, and take care of yourself!’ That saying got me through the entire day.” Caroline also says that climbing mountains with her husband Guy and stepson Jake best define who she is. When Jake was eleven, the family went on a family vacation to Seattle, Washington to climb Mt. Adams, a 12,000 foot mountain. “We all worked together and helped each other when we had weak moments. The only thing that really matters on a mountain is getting back down safely after reaching the top. Knowing that someone has ‘your back’ and being surrounded by the people who care for you the most is truly a connecting moment.”

In 2013 Caroline was named Business Person of the Year by the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce, was a Jefferson Award Finalist in 2012, and most recently was named a WELD Women You Should Know honoree and received the 2014 Small Business Leader Award from the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Over the next couple of years, Caroline plans on devoting most of her volunteer time to The Women’s Small Business Accelerator to get the organization fully funded so that it can have a huge impact on the local economy and help women business owners realize their dreams.
