Jenn Bajec

“Life is not a balance beam, it’s a teeter totter!” At least that’s how Jenn Bajec describes it. From participating in her kid’s classrooms, leading her daughter’s Brownie troop, coaching a lacrosse team, doing Pro-Bono projects for Hair Theater, and teaching yoga, Jenn has discovered the joys of volunteering.

Besides being a wife and mother of 2 (husband Dennis and children Garrett & Audrey) and all that volunteering, Jenn stays busy working as the Principal/ Design Consultant for Double N Studios. From her graphic design background, Jenn founded THRIVE THEORY, a product line of fine jewelry and gifts which encourage growth for women & girls. “As a female designer, I’d like to make a posi- tive impact on our human sustainability. When women feel empowered, there is more peace, health and prosperity in the world.”

The Thrive Theory Symbol, which is the cornerstone of the product line, is based on the scientific symbol for female, surrounded by the support of others, with love at the center, which creates a blossom.

“The support system is the petals of the
flower, the people who make us who we
are, who sustain our vitality. The better our support system is, the more good energy we spend is actually returned to us, making it possible to do more for the people around us and beyond.” The inspiration for the symbol came from Jenn’s support system as she feels she is surrounded by angels every day.

One of those angels is Jenn’s mother. When Jenn was 18 her mom passed away from a very aggressive form of cancer. “She was a great mom and lived a very full, purposeful life.” Because of her mom’s influence, Jenn wants to inspire other people to live with purpose and great health. “None of us are the person we are without the influence of each other. A better world exists for each of us when we connect positively with each other.” Hence, the reason Jenn was nominated, and ultimately voted into, the Sunny 95

“20 Outstanding Women” program.

The best advice Jenn ever received came from her mom. “Use your gifts for their highest pur- pose.” Even though this is the best advice, Jenn finds it to be more of a challenge. “Figuring out the Who, What, When, Where, Why, How-is the trick!”

Along with the creation of THRIVE THEORY, Jenn founded the THRIVE THEORY FOUNDATION. A portion of product sales and service fees from THRIVE THEORY are donated to this fund at the Columbus Foundation, which grants money to charities that help women and girls. Jenn is currently working to designate an annual recipient for the THRIVE THEORY FOUNDATION’s efforts.

What does Jenn plan to do now that she is one of the “20 Outstanding Women?” “I plan to enjoy the reception, and then get back to work!” That work includes speaking engagements to design students at Cedarville College and expanding THRIVE THEORY’S wholesale accounts.
