While watching his grandmother struggle to navigate an iPad, Colin saw the need to bridge the technology gap in our retirement communities. So, he started a Technology Aid program at a neighborhood nursing home. Every other Sunday, Colin would host training sessions to assist the elderly, helping residents stay connected to their children & grandchildren in ways they never thought possible.
“Life in a nursing home isn’t always the most enthralling, I guess. A lot of their quality of life could be better with technology. So that was our main focus,” Colin explained.
Colin will receive $1,000 grant from Sunny 95 & Mad River Mountain along with $529 college saving award in the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority’s College Advantage Program. We are honored to welcome Colin as part of our Sunny 95 Rising Stars Class of 2019!
