Emily Spector

Sunny 95

At age 12, Emily Spector started her own foundation called “The Read to Succeed Foundation” which focuses on helping underprivileged children succeed through the gift of reading. Emily had both a passion for reading and growing awareness of the world around her.  She collects donations of new and gently used books ranging from infant to high school. Emily then organizes and labels them in specific categories and makes deliveries to food pantries and other organizations to create mini-libraries. To date, Emily has delivered over 70,000 books to over 60 locations serving underprivileged children both locally and internationally. For more information, visit www.readtosucceedfoundation.org.

Emily will receive a $1,000 grant from Sunny 95 and Franklin University along with a $529 OTTA 529 Savings Plan. We gladly welcome Emily as part of our Sunny 95 Rising Stars Class of 2020!
