Emma Jean has lived her young life centered around kindness. She has already supported Heifer International, planned and led over 20 hours of camp & 4 wilderness workshops, and been a champion for helmet safety. She’s volunteered at A Kid Again and been a leader in her Girl Scout troop where she’s currently working on her Silver Award – all before she’s turned 13.
Emma says, “So many people don’t have the things we have. I just volunteered at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank and it was crazy to think that these people didn’t have food. Hard to see. People are so excited just to get food. I feel like seeing it is pretty crazy. And thinking, wow, that’s happening!”
Emma will receive a $1,000 grant from Sunny 95 & Anthony Thomas along with $529 in the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority’s College Advantage Program. We are excited to have her as one of our Class of 2019 Rising Stars honorees!
