Kennedy Harris was born with a speech delay and had academic concerns. At a young age, she was told by doctors and staff that she’d never do well. She was told she would need academic assistance to obtain average grades. Fast forward 5 years and Kennedy was in gifted classes with no assistance. Kennedy is now first in her class with all advanced classes and takes collegiate level courses as well. She gives back with her strong determination by leading Interact Club to help others, feeds families on weekends and gives academic help to others that struggle. Kennedy wants to go into broadcast journalism and Human Resources in the future.
Kennedy will receive a $1,000 grant from Sunny 95 and Muth & Company Roofing along with a $529 OTTA 529 Savings Plan. We welcome her as part of our Sunny 95 Rising Stars Class of 2020 honorees!
