Sofia Mendoza is highly motivated, extremely responsible, and has a genuine care for others. She engages in the community through many school clubs and other volunteer opportunities, including Hope Squad – a peer-to-peer suicide prevention club that creates a positive and encouraging environment for students to reach out and ask for help if they need it. Sofia excels everywhere she goes, which is why she is part of our 2022 Class of Rising Stars! Sofia received a $1,000 grant for her favorite cause from the Greater Columbus Arts Council and a College Savings Award from Ohio’s 529 Plan, CollegeAdvantage.
