COLUMBUS, Ohio – We’re talking millions of Thin Mints.
The National Board of the Girl Scouts of the USA will bring its triennial National Council Session and convention to Columbus in 2017, Experience Columbus, the city’s convention and visitors bureau announced.
The 8,000 to 10,000 attendees generate 10,000 room nights and more than $14 million in visitor spending, Experience Columbus officials said
Experience Columbus worked with the Girls Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland to put together the successful bid for the 54th edition of the event, scheduled for October of 2017 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
The convention will bring in leaders of the 112 Girl Scout councils located throughout the country, the organization’s National Board of Directors, and volunteers.
