CHICAGO, Ill. – Pinch-hitter Julio Borbon singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 14th inning as the Cubs clipped the Reds 6-5 at Wrigley Field.

Darwin Barney’s RBI-single in the eighth tied the game at five.

David DeJesus homered, while Nate Schierholtz scored three times for the Northsiders, who avoided a sweep in the four-game set.

Hector Rondon (1-0) pitched the final two innings to pick up the win.

Joey Votto drove in two runs and Shin-Soo Choo plated a run and scored twice for Cincinnati, which had won 12 straight in Chicago.

Jonathan Broxton fell to 2-2 with the loss.
