Search continues for Newark baby

NEWARK, Ohio – Newark police are still looking for a six-month-old baby and her mother who have not been seen since last week.

Nicayla Jordan has been missing since Thursday, a day after she was ordered into the care of Licking County Children’s Services.

She’s believed to be with her 25-year-old mother, Amanda Jordan, who was just released from prison.

Jordan’s sister and mother were arrested this past weekend on custody interference charges.

Newark and Heath police, and Licking and Knox County sheriff’s deputies have all been searching for Nicayla, Newark police spokesman Sgt. Scott Snow said.

An arrest warrant for kidnapping has been issued for Amanda Jordan.

Warrants for Interference with Custody were also issued for Jordan, her 20-year-old sister, Rockell Hudson, and her mother, Susan Allen, 51, Snow said.

Two possible vehicles have been associated with Rockell Hudson: A black 1993 Eagle Talon (OH lic# EOY3704) and a gray Jeep Limited (FKC3202).

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Newark Police Division at 740-670-7200.
