COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police say the same man is suspected of holding up two Kroger pharmacies on the West Side yesterday afternoon.
The man walked into the Kroger pharmacy at 2525 Hilliard-Rome Road at 3:55 p.m. and handed a pharmacist a note demanding prescription drugs and cash, Robbery Unit detectives said.
The – described as white, in his 30s, 6’4”/240 lbs. – left without incident.
At 6:08 p.m., police believe the same man pulled off a similar robbery at the Kroger at Georgesville Square.
They say he handed a note to the pharmacist, indicating that he had a gun, and again demanded pills and cash.
Reportedly, the man was after Oxycontin.
