2 dead in wrong-way crash

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police say a man was headed the wrong way on an interstate near downtown early Sunday morning was killed along with his passenger when his car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.

The man, whose name was not released, was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near the W. Broad Street exit just before 2:50 a.m. when he drove into the eastbound truck, investigators said.

Kristina Im, 23, was the front seat passenger in the vehicle and was killed, along with the driver, police said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as Timothy Owens, 55.

The accident remained under investigation Monday morning.
