Groundhogs say spring will arrive early

As Columbus, and a large swath of the U.S., thaws out from a bitter polar vortex, Marion’s Buckeye Chuck and some of the country’s most famous prognosticating groundhogs predicted that spring will arrive early.

City to settle adult performers’ lawsuit

Columbus City Council is scheduled to vote Monday on a settlement of a federal lawsuit filed by two women arrested along with adult film actress Stormy Daniels at a strip club last year.

911 texting available in Franklin County

Franklin County residents with emergencies now have the option to text 911 instead of placing a call as the county on Wednesday joins about a dozen other Ohio counties allowing the emergency texts.

Second wintry punch

Ohio is about to receive the second half of a one-two punch from winter. The left jab arrived Jan. 12, bringing several inches of fluffy snow, and the right cross should arrive sometime early Saturday, packing as much as seven inches of snow with bitter cold temperatures in its wake.
