COLUMBUS – The Toledo Mud Hens took an early lead on four home runs over as many innings on the way to a 7-3 win over the Clippers Friday night at Huntington Park.
Starter Jerad Eickhoff (0-2) gave up homers to Justyn-Henry Malloy, Colt Keith and Andrew Knapp, giving the Mud Hens a 5-2 lead after four innings.
Brenan Hanifee (2-5) got the win in relief.
Daniel Schneemann and Micah Pries hit home runs for Columbus.
