COLUMBUS – The Clippers jumped out to an early lead and survived a furious comeback effort by the Indians to beat Indianapolis, 10-9, Saturday night at Huntington Park.
Columbus scored seven runs in the second inning off Indians starter Quinn Priester, who delivered three bases-loaded walks before being pulled.
Brayan Rocchio drove on two runs in the inning on a ground rile double as the Clippers made the most of their six base hits and three Indians errors during the game.
Caleb Baragar (2-0) gave up a run in the ninth but struck out the final two batters with the tying and winning runs in scoring position to get the win.
