OMAHA – The Omaha Storm Chasers jumped out to an early lead and held on to beat the Clippers, 4-2, at Werner Park Thursday night.
Matt Beaty drove in two runs and scored a third in the first inning to give Omaha a 3-0 lead and Max Castillo (2-6) pitched six effective innings as Columbus lost for the eighth game in a row on its current two-week road trip.
Raynel Delgado and Chris Roller hit home runs for the Clippers.
