COLUMBUS – Columbus police have arrested a second suspect in the shooting death of a man whose body was found in a grassy area in Franklinton in July.
Columbus SWAT officers on Wednesday arrested Raheem Williams, 27, in connection with the death of Eric Jackson, 49, whose body was found in a grassy area near 650 Van Buren Drive on July 2, Sgt. David Shimberg of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
Police said Williams would be charged with murder.
Brittany Weldon, 27, was arrested on Sept. 15 on a charge of murder in connection with Jackson’s death, Shimberg said.
At the time Jackson’s body was found, detectives believed that the shooting stemmed from an argument between Jackson and at least one of the suspects.
