COLUMBUS – An Amber Alert was issued early Monday for a 1-year-old boy from Perry County abducted by a man authorities say has “violent tendencies” and may have also assaulted the child.
UPDATE 3/23/20 9:04 a.m.: The Amber Alert was canceled at 8:23 a.m. The child was found safe. Reportedly, the suspect remains at large.

Steele Colt Estep was taken from a home on Monday Creek Township Road 430 in Logan by Storm Lightening Zeitler, 29, a man who is not the baby’s biological father and is believed to assaulted the child prior to abduction, according to the alert issued by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
The two are believed to be traveling in a red 1998 Ford Contour with the Ohio plate number HXN4100. Authorities say the plate is fictitious and is not registered to above vehicle.
Steele Estep has blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing blue grey sweatpants with a black T-shirt with bones on it.
Zeitler is 5’9″ tall, weighs 180 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a dark long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and possibly a grey jacket with a skull on the back.
The sheriff’s office says Zeitler has “violent tendencies.”
