COLUMBUS – Some records fell along with the snow around Ohio Wednesday morning as the state got some arctic in April.
According to the National Weather Service’s Wilmington office, 1.2 inches of snow was officially recorded at John Glenn Columbus International Airport, the fifth largest “late season snowfall” on record.

The weather service reported 4 ½ – 5 inches of snow fell northwest of Columbus.
Toledo saw its largest late-season snowfall Tuesday, recording five inches.
The Weather Service recorded 2.3 inches of snow Wednesday at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Hebron, Kentucky, topping the 1901 record for April 21 of 1.5 inches.
Central Ohio remained under a freeze warning Thursday morning with another due to take effect Thursday night, according to WBNS 10-TV meteorologist Jeff Booth.
