Art thieves strike in Short North

COLUMBUS – Columbus police are searching for two men they say broke into a Short North office building twice, making off with thousands of dollars in artwork.

Detectives with the Property Crimes Unit say the men entered the secured lobby of an office building at 875 N. High Street at approximately 5:35 a.m. on Jan 18 and removed two 60×40-inch prints valued at over $3,500 from the wall.

The thieves then walked away from the business, carrying the prints.

Police say review of the surveillance video also showed that the same men had stolen items from the lobby of the same building the previous evening.
