LOUISVILLE – The Louisville Bats cranked out five home runs in a 16-1 drubbing of the Clippers Friday night.

It was the latest one-sided decision in a series at Louisville Slugger Field marked by prolific run-scoring by both teams.

The winners have outscored the losers 44-14 the first four games of the six-game series, which is tied at two games apiece.

TJ Hopkins, Jose Barrero and Michael Siani hit homers off Clippers starter Joey Cantillo (2-2), who gave up eight runs in 2 2/3 innings.

Connor Phillips (1-0) threw 11 strikeouts in seven innings.
