Body found on roadside is city’s 71st homicide

COLUMBUS – Columbus police have identified a man whose body was found  on a roadside Wednesday morning.

The body of Romeo Kendrick was found at 9:13 a.m. in the woods off the side of Brice Road south of Blacklick Creek in Canal Winchester, Sgt. Eric Pilya of the Homicide Unit said.

Kendrick, 20, been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene, Pilya said.

There were no suspects at the time.

This was the 71st homicide of 2021 in Columbus.
