Body’s DNA matches missing Westerville woman

WESTERVILLE- Westerville police say they have positively identified a body found in September as that of a Emily Noble, who had been missing for five months.

DNA analysis conducted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation positively identified the body as that of Noble, 52, who was first reported missing by her husband on May 25, the day after her birthday.

Police had previously announced that Noble’s dental records matched those of the body found in a wooded area near Noble’s home on Sept. 16, police said.

Police say the DNA match is one step in the investigative process and they are continuing to look into Noble’s disappearance and death.

Matheau Moore reported his wife missing from their home on Abbycross Lane where a neighbor reported seeing her in her garage, according to a case summary from the Westerville Police Department.

Moore told investigators his wife does not suffer from any mental illnesses, had never made suicidal statements, and appeared to have had an enjoyable birthday.
