COLUMBUS – Brayan Rocchio’s line drive single to right field brought Richie Palacios home to break a 3-3 tie in the eighth inning, giving the Clippers a 4-3 win over the Iowa Cubs and a sweep of a Saturday doubleheader at Huntington Park.

Chris Roller tied the score with a sacrifice fly in the fifth, Michael Kelly retired the side in the sixth and Tim Herrin (2-0) held the Cubs hitless over the final two innings for the win in the game, which was a makeup of the game that had been postponed on Tuesday.

Two days after being reassigned from the Clippers’ parent club, the Cleveland Guardians, Zach Plesac pitched a complete game to get the win in the opener, which Columbus won, 5-1.
