A witness told responding officers that they had seen several males drive away in a green Hyundai which matched the description of a vehicle that had been used in several recent incidents in which shots had been fired, Marable said.

The car was located near W. Broad Street and Whitethorne Avenue a short time later with damage from several bullet strikes.

Plain clothes officers saw several males behaving suspiciously near the car and watched as they hid several items in some bushes, Marable said.

Responding patrol officers two adult men and two juveniles as they ran and also recovered three handguns from the bushes.

The juveniles and were arrested on outstanding warrants while the adults were released at scene.

The incident is still under investigation which Marable says will determine what, if any, charges will be filed.
