COLUMBUS – Columbus has a new Recreation and Parks director.
Mayor Andrew Ginther and the Recreation and Parks Commission Monday appointed Bernita Reese to the post, succeeding Paul Rakosky, who has been the interim director since 2019.
Over more than two decades, Reese has served as an assistant director for the agency for over three years and most recently served as the director of parks and recreation for the City of Huntsville, Alabama.
She also led and supported departments for DeKalb and Fayette counties in Georgia.
