COLUMBUS – Columbus Police and The Starfish Assignment are teaming up to send hundreds of Columbus kids back to school in style and well-equipped.

Over two days at two Columbus community centers, 100 boys will get haircuts and 100 girls will work with female officers on arts and crafts during the “Cops & Barbers” events.

The events are scheduled for Sunday-at the Linden Community Center, 1350 Briarwood Avenue, and Monday at the Glenwood Community Center, 1888 Fairmont Avenue.

All of the children will also receive a backpack full of school supplies thanks in part to Britton Park Walmart in Dublin and a book from the 2nd & 7 Foundation.

“Cops and Barbers” was the brainchild of Columbus Police Officer Pete Casuccio and barber Robert Cayson.
