COLUMBUS – Mo Farsi’s goal gave the Crew a 1-0 win over the Indy 11 in a third-round U.S. Open Cup match Wednesday night at Lower.com Field.
Farsi scored off a give-and-go from Steven Moreira in the 83rd minute to beat the USL Championship side.
FC Cincinnati also won its match, beating Louisville City FC, 1-0.
A total of 12 MLS teams competed against lower-division opponents to reach the round of 32.
The domestic tournament’s champion, decided in September, will receive a 2024 Concacaf Champions League spot.
