COLUMBUS – Governor Mike DeWine will sign an anti-hazing bill into law Tuesday.

Collin’s Law increases criminal penalties for hazing, including forced consumption of alcohol or drugs during hazing.

It also widens the range of people who can be punished for participating in or permitting hazing.

The bill was named for Collin Wiant, an Ohio University student from Dublin who died in a hazing incident in 2018.

DeWine’s office says he will sign Ohio’s Anti-Hazing Act during a ceremony Tuesday morning at the Statehouse.
