COLUMBUS – Police say a man was gunned down in his East Side home Monday during an argument.
Columbus police officers called to the 500 block of S. Napoleon Avenue on a report of a shooting at 3:57 p.m. Tyler Ross suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit said.
Ross, 29, was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 5:18 p.m.
Detectives determined that Ross was inside his home when an unidentified man arrived and there was a brief argument, shots were fired and the man fled on foot, Marable said.
This is the 112th homicide in Columbus in 2021.
