COLUMBUS – Drivers who count on SR 315 to access Franklinton from the west will have to make a major adjustment this weekend when the state permanently closes the ramp from eastbound I-70 as part of the massive “Downtown Ramp Up” mega-project, a major makeover for the I-70/I-71 corridor through downtown Columbus.
The next phase of the multi-year project will focus on the West Side interchange and the ramp closure, scheduled for 8:00 p.m., is necessary to widen and realign the ramp from I-71 north to I-70 east.
Recommended detours for drivers coming from the West Side:
- I-670 east to access SR 315 north.
Additional alternate routes include:- I-70 east to I-71 north to I-670 west to SR 315 north
- Central Ave. to McKinley Ave. to Grandview Ave. to I-670 east to SR 315 north
- Hague Ave. to I-70 east to I-670 east to SR 315 north
