Gun found in 13-year-old’s school locker

COLUMBUS – Police have charged a 13-year-old with conveying a deadly weapon into a school zone after finding a gun in his locker at South High School Monday afternoon.

The school’s principal opened the boy’s locker and found a loaded 9mm pistol in a bookbag after another student reported to school staff that he had been shown the pistol.

The incident was reported to police at approximately 1:00 p.m.
