INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Indians jumped on Columbus starter Brety Daniels with a five-run first inning on the way to an 8-5 victory over the Clippers at Victory Field Saturday.
NOTE: The Clippers Indians game scheduled for Sunday has been canceled due to weather.
The highlight of the inning was Josh Palacios’ three-run homer off Daniels (0-1).
Bo Naylor hit a two-run home run for the Clippers.
Luis L. Ortiz (2-1) struck out six in six innings.
