Man posed as officer to get sex

COLUMBUS – A Westerville man is behind bars after police say he posed as a police officer to coerce sex from a woman.

Jason Britenstine allegedly threatened to charge the unidentified woman with a felony crime and attempted to convince the victim to submit to a sex act in exchange for her freedom, Cmdr. Nick Konves of the Columbus Division of Police Community Response Bureau.

Officers arrested Britenstine, 49, on March 4 on a felony charge of impersonating a peace officer.

Authorities are seeking additional felony charges in a future indictment.
