COLUMBUS – It’s Girl Scout Cookie Season and that means more than a million packages of Thin Mints, Do-Si-Dos and Samoas are rolling into Columbus this week.

The Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland will kick off the “cookie season” Thursday when 1,093,704 boxes of cookies are delivered to 14 locations in Columbus and elsewhere across the council’s 30-county region during a three-day “mega drop” event.

Volunteers drive through an assembly line, filling their vehicles with the cookies, which will be distributed by 7,872 Girl Scouts from 1,008 troops.

Cookies can be purchased from individual Girl Scouts, at cookie booths, or online.

You can use the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app to find socially distant or contact-free cookie booths in your area in all 30 counties, with a total of 5,233 time slots filled at locations such as WalMart, Sam’s Club and Piada.

DoorDash delivery will be available in Columbus and Zanesville on various dates between Feb. 17 and 26.
