DELAWARE – Delaware County authorities have charged a man with murder in the death of a Columbus man whose body was found in a storage tote beside Alum Creek Lake last month.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office charged Timothy Baldrick, 43, with murder, in addition to charges already filed in connection with the shooting death of Timothy Marcum, Sheriff Russell Martin said.
Marcum’s body was found June 28 on the eastern shore of Alum Creek Lake.
Detectives uncovered additional evidence this week that led to the murder charge against Baldrick, who was in the Delaware County Jail on the original charges of tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.
He had been arrested Saturday.
