NEWARK – A man and woman were taken into custody in Newark Saturday in connection with the death of a Columbus man.
Kenneth Hall and Danielle Stewart, both of Newark, were arrested following the shooting death of Peyton Anderson in an apartment on the city’s east early Saturday morning, according to Newark Division of Police spokesman Sgt. Clint Eskins.
Anderson, 20 was found shot in the chest by Newark police and fire personnel at about 3:23 a.m. and was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Eskins said.
Hall, 44, was arrested and charged with the homicide while Stewart, 24, was charged with obstruction of justice and both were taken to the Licking County Justice Center, Eskins said.
