Police continue search for additional “Chittfest” suspects

COLUMBUS – Columbus police are again asking for help locating suspects who committed vandalism or other crimes during a block-party-turned-riot near the OSU campus area in April.

On April 17, an estimated 1,000 people gathered on Chittenden Avenue to participate in the block party referred to as “Chittfest” and, during the course of the party, many of them committed crimes such as vandalism, criminal damaging and criminal mischief, police said.

Thanks to tips from the public, police have already charged 16 people with crimes associated with the disturbance and are again asking anyone who attended the party or knows of anyone
who participated in crimes, like setting fires and damaging vehicles, to share anonymous tips with Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477).
