COLUMBUS – Columbus homicide detectives have named suspects in three fatal shooting incidents, including one that left an employee of a Franklinton carryout dead and another who was arrested in the Akron area.
Police have charged Mark Stevens (pictured above, left) with murder in the death of Jimmy Crum, who died Thursday of injuries suffered when Stevens, 41, allegedly shot him during a struggle outside Van’s Carry Out, 1270 W. Town Street, on Feb. 9, Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit said.

Investigators said Crum, 51, and another store employee had thrown out a customer who vowed to return and shoot them, Marable said. A large group of people came to the store later and, during the fight that ensued, Stevens allegedly shot Crum to death.
Stevens remains at large are police are asking anyone with any information concerning his whereabouts to contact the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730.
This was the 27th homicide of the year in Columbus.
Rashawn Harper, 20, was arrested in Stark County Thursday on a murder charge in connection with the death of Jahshaune Coleman, 20, who was found dead inside a home on Rodgers Avenue in Franklinton on Jan. 27, Marable said.
Detectives have filed a warrant charging 24-year-old Taashan Smith (above, right) with reckless homicide for causing the death of Keshawna Ximines, who was shot inside a Northeast Side apartment on Jan. 30 and died the following day. Her death was ruled a homicide by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office, Marable said.
Anyone who knows Smith’s whereabouts is asked to contact police.
