Rallies, marches, vigils in wake of shootings

COLUMBUS – Hundreds of people gathered for rallies, marches and vigils in Columbus and Cincinnati following the fatal shootings of black men by police in Louisiana and Minnesota in the past week.

Similar marches and rallies have been held around the country in recent days, including hundreds of people who walked from Columbus police headquarters to the Ohio Statehouse Saturday. Hundreds more gathered for a vigil Sunday night, three days after a black sniper shot and killed five white police officers in Dallas in apparent retaliation for the shootings.
