Kevin Sobnosky and another man were driving in the 1400 block of North Cassady Avenue when their vehicle was struck by gunfire coming from the parking area of a nearby business, Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit said.

Sobnosky died at a hospital later the same day.

Detectives at one point identified 12 persons of interest in the shooting and the investigation is still ongoing, Marable said.
