COLUMBUS — Counties around Ohio posted their official results from the Nov. 3 general election Wednesday, including some races that were too early to call on Election Night.
The Columbus-area state Senate race between Republican Sen. Stephanie Kunze and Democrat Crystal Lett is headed to a recount with Kunze leading by 116 votes out of more than 211,000 cast.
The Franklin County Board of Elections reports 73.5% of registered voters cast ballots by mail or in person during the election.
President Donald Trump’s margin of victory in the state shrunk slightly.
Two-term Republican state Rep. Dave Greenspan has lost his bid for reelection to Democrat Monique Smith in the Cleveland suburbs, while GOP challenger Gail Pavliga defeated first-term Democratic Rep. Randi Clites in the Akron area.
The totals still require certification by GOP Secretary of State Frank LaRose by Nov. 28.
