Police say the shots came during a fight involving two groups of juveniles and it’s still unclear if more than one person fired a gun.

The mall was evacuated on March 3 when two men exchanged gunfire in the building. No one was injured in that incident.

Police responded to a report of shots fired inside the mall at 1500 Polaris Parkway at 3:17 p.m. Monday and, when they arrived, SWAT officers and patrol units cleared the building, checked for threats and carried out the evacuation of employees and shoppers.

Witnesses told detectives that they observed a group of unidentified subjects arguing in the breezeway when one of the unidentified subjects pulled a handgun and fired multiple rounds and the subjects left the building, Sgt. James Jardine of the Felony Assault Unit said.

Jardine says police are looking for a 17-year-old and another unidentified suspect.

No injuries were reported during the incident, which is still under investigation.
