COLUMBUS (AP) — A small protest at the Statehouse saw about two dozen demonstrators argue about a mix of causes including government overreach and election fraud.
Several were armed with assault-style rifles but the demonstration stayed peaceful.
Members of the Ohio National Guard and Ohio state troopers vastly outnumbered the protesters during the two hour-plus gathering.
A number of men who identified themselves as part of the Boogaloo movement said they came out for peace and unity while armed with rifles and dressed in military garb from noon to shortly after 2:00 p.m.
Republican Gov. Mike DeWine said he was pleased with the outcome but stressed the state’s concerns over protests weren’t over.
