Stivers, a Republican, last week announced plans to step down as of May 16 to oversee the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
The election schedule aligns with the timeline for the special election to fill the 11th district seat vacated by Marcia Fudge, who joined the Cabinet of President Joe Biden as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
