OMAHA – Brewer Hicklen’s two-run home run in the eighth inning snuffed out a brief Columbus rally and gave the Omaha Storm Chasers a 6-5 win in the opening game of a six-game series Tuesday night at Werner Park.
After falling behind in the seventh, the Clippers plated three runs in the top of the eighth on a bases-loaded walk and a two-run ground rule double by Daniel Schneemann to take a 5-4 lead in the top of the inning.
