COLUMBUS – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office announced arrests in recent shootings that left two teenagers dead.

Marquis Smith, 18, was arrested near the scene of a shooting during a robbery on Nationwide Boulevard in Franklin Township late on Tuesday night where a 16-year-old was killed, Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said.

Detectives believe that Smith (pictured, above left), Johntae Jackson ,16, and 16-year-old Trevon Moore shot William Delaney, 28, during an attempted robbery as Delaney was walking home in the area of Nationwide Blvd. and King Edward Court West just after 11:00 p.m.

Delaney, Jackson and Moore were all stuck with gunfire during the incident and Jackson was pronounced dead at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital, Baldwin said. Delaney and Moore were in stable condition at Grant Medical Center.

Smith and Moore have been charged with aggravated robbery and murder. The case remains under investigation and additional charges are pending, Baldwin said.

Detectives investigating the death of a 15-year-old in Mifflin Township on Oct. 8 charged Isaiah Tucker, 18, on Wednesday with the murder of Nofeir Cannon.

Investigators believe that Cannon stole a vehicle belonging to a relative of Tucker (above, right), who spotted Cannon driving the vehicle and pursued him to the area of Rankin and Loretta Avenues.

Cannon jumped from the vehicle and Baldwin says Tucker shot the teen in the head as he tried to run away.

The case remains under investigation and additional charges are pending, Baldwin said.
