Woman clinging to life after stabbing
Police fear a woman who was stabbed during a fight in North Linden Monday may not survive.
Latoya Rogers will reportedly be arraigned Tuesday morning on a charge of felonious assault after stabbing of the 46-year-old woman multiple times in the 3000 Block of Hiawatha Street just before 2:00 Monday afternoon, Shimberg said.
The victim, whose name was not released to prevent retaliation or revictimization, was taken to a hospital in critical condition, Shimberg said.
The initial investigation indicated that Rogers, 38, and some other people confronted the victim when a large fight broke out and Rogers allegedly stabbed the woman during the altercation.
This incident is still under investigation, Shimberg said.
