COLUMBUS – Communities and businesses in central Ohio are honoring the nation’s military veterans this Veterans Day.
Walsh and TV host Drew Carey, a former Marine, headline the annual Veterans Day Ceremony in the Great Hall at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum on W. Broad Street at 11:00 a.m. Friday. Admission to the ceremony and the museum is free.
COTA will waive all fares for veterans on buses, COTA Mainstream and COTA//Plus on Veterans Day.

Participating Wendy’s locations are offering veterans and those who are currently serving in the U.S. military with a free breakfast combo from 6:30 – 10:30 a.m. with valid military ID or a Veterans Advantage card.
White Castle restaurants will honor U.S. veterans and active-duty military members on Veterans Day with a complimentary meal.
Veterans can claim a meal voucher from Texas Roadhouse on Bethel Road from noon until 2:00 p.m.
City Barbecue restaurants will serving all veterans and active duty military a free sandwich (excluding brisket), one side and a drink.
Sheetz stores are providing free meals and car washes for veterans and active duty military personnel.
Roosters is offering a $10 “Rooster Buck” to anyone that comes into Roosters on Vets Day and presents a military ID or proof of service.
Red Lobster is offering a free meal featuring Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, fries, and coleslaw to veterans, active-duty military and reservists. The offer is available for dine-in and To Go orders placed in-restaurant between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
